Popular South Indian actor Joju George sustained an injury during the shooting of the Tamil movie Thug Life, satarring Kamal Haasan.
According to media reports, Joju George was performing an action sequence in a helicopter when the accident happened. The stunt choreography of Thug Life was happening in Puducherry.
The accident happened when Joju George, along with fellow actors Kamal Haasan and Nassar, was required to jump from a helicopter. Joju tripped an fell during the shooting, injuring his left foot. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
While the doctors who examined Joju George asked him to take rest for a week, the actor chose to continue shooting, says reports.
Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, marks the first collaboration of the director and Kamal Haasan after decades. The two had last worked together in the 1987 film Nayakan.
