Evan as the Netflix stalker drama Baby Reindeer, based on real-life events, continues to be among the top 10 shows on the streaming platform, a woman, who claimed to be the stalker on whom the show's antagonist is based, came out saying she is in fact the victim.

Created by and starring Richard Gadd as Donny Dunn, a struggling comedian stalked by an older woman, Baby Reindeer focuses on the warped relationship between the stalker and her victim. Gadd plays a fictionalised version of himself in the show.

The show, which explores several complex themes like sexual abuse, mental illness, parental neglect, and stalking, has been praised for its great performances, aesthetics, and tense screenplay.

Now, a woman, who claims to be the stalker, alleged that it was Gadd who was stalking her. In an interview with Daily Mail, the woman, without revealing her identity, alleged that Gadd is "using Baby Reindeer to stalk me now. I’m the victim. He’s written a bloody show about me.”

The woman said she believes Gadd is “bullying an older woman for fame and fortune.”

“I’ve never owned a toy baby reindeer and I wouldn’t have had any conversation with Richard Gadd about a childhood toy either," she has been quoted as saying.

Gadd had revealed in the show that over the course of several years, he had received 41,071 emails, 744 tweets, letters totalling 106 pages and 350 hours of voicemail messages from his stalker.
