She dropped a hint about her pregnancy during the performance by cradling her baby bump a few times. The bump was also visible in the tight clothes she wore under the baggy red jumpsuit, triggering a wave of speculations on social media. The singer's representative confirmed the pregnancy news after the power-packed performance at the State Farm Arena in Arizona, The Hollywood Reporter stated.

During the Apple Music press conference ahead of the performance, Rihanna said the Super Bowl is “one of the biggest stages in the world”.
