Mismatched season 2: Netflix

Release date: October 14

The show headlined by Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf returns for a second season. The show follows the life of Rishi, a die-hard romantic who falls for Dimple and wants to marry her. Mismatched is directed by Karwaan helmer Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari, known for co-hosting the YouTube talk show Casting Couch With Amey & Nipun.

Shantaram: Apple TV+

Release date: October 14

The series is based on Gregory David Roberts' bestselling novel of the same name. Set in the 1980s, it revolves around the struggles of Lin Ford, an Australian convict who flees prison and arrives in Mumbai.

The Playlist: Netflix

Release date: October 13

The limited docu-drama series tells the origin story of Spotify, one of the world's top music streaming services. “In this fictionalised account, a Swedish tech entrepreneur and his partners set out to revolutionize the music industry with a legal streaming platform,” read the streamer's description of the series. The miniseries will revolve around Spotify founder Daniel Ek.

Dobaaraa: Netflix

Release date: October 15

The Taapsee Pannu-starrer, directed by Anurag Kashyap, had released in theatres earlier. Dobaaraa, a remake of the Spanish film Mirage, revolves around a woman who discovers she can travel back in time.

Palthu Janwar: Disney

Release date: October 14

The lighthearted film featuring Basil Joseph in the lead had garnered positive reviews when it released in theatres in September. Basil plays a livestock inspector in the film that takes a different look at human-animal bonds. The film directed by debutante Sangeeth P. Rajan also features Sruthy Suresh, Dileesh Pothan, Johnny Anthony and Shammi Thilakan among others.
