In today's time, meaningful cinema has an upper hand over potboiler films. There's no denying that the audience wants to watch content-driven cinema that has an important message. Amid the COVID-19 crisis, an array of films chose to have an OTT release over the theatrical release. However, cinemas made a comeback in the last year, and a lot of good films are getting a theatrical release.

Actor Abhijit Patil, who is making his debut with the Marathi film 'Rajmudra' believes that the films meant for a cinematic spectacle should get a theatrical release. The actor has been creating news lately for his maiden film, and he is giving his best shot at it. Along with his acting debut, he will also make his directorial debut with 'Rajmudra'. Currently, the actor is undertaking acting workshops until the film goes on the floors soon.

Aiming to take the Marathi film industry to par with mainstream cinema, Abhijit Patil is giving his best for the film. He says, "Films like 'Sairat', 'Timepass', 'Ventilator' and 'Dharmaveer' have opened doors for the Marathi film industry. I am working towards offering the best to the audience through cinema." He further stated that a lot goes behind bringing a film to life.

"It takes a lot of effort to make a film. Many films leave a lasting impact on the audience. And with viewers becoming choosy to watch high-on content films, filmmakers are bringing meaningful stories for the viewers", Abhijit added. Furthermore, Abhijit stated that theatrical releases can attract good footfalls and raise awareness about films among the masses.

As an avid cinephile, Abhijit loves to enjoy cinema on the 70mm screen over the modern OTT space. For the film 'Rajmudra', it is said that his character will have different shades. As per the buzz, the film is a social drama flick with comedy, drama, actions and equal entertainment. While the film goes on the floors soon, we wish Abhijit Patil the best of luck with his debut project.
