June is here, and with a new month comes fresh content on various streaming platforms. Here is quick at what's coming to OTT platforms this week.

Jana Gana Mana: Netflix

Release date: June 2

The Malayalam political thriller, directed by Dijo Jose Antony, first released in theatres in April. Featuring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles, the film was a box-office success. Written by Sharis Mohammed, the film touched upon many socio-political issues that made news in recent times. The film also features Mamta Mohandas, Shari, Shammi Thilakan among others.

KGF: Chapter 2: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: June 3

KGF: Chapter 2, one of the most awaited films of the year, released in theatres in April. The Yash-starrer directed by Prashant Neel scripted records at the box office, and will now be available for OTT viewing. The multilingual drama also features Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Anant Nag among others. The film will be available to viewers in five languages —Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.

9 Hours: Disney plus Hotstar

Release date: June 2

The Telugu Hotstar Special series revolves around three prison inmates who find themselves in a troublesome situation as they break from their cells to execute a robbery. The show is headlined by Taraka Ratna, Ajay, Vinod Kumar, Madhu Shalini and Ravi Varma. Directed by Jacob Verghese and Niranjan Kaushik, 9 Hours is written by popular Telugu filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi.

Aashram Season 3: MX Player

Release date: June 3

The Aashram series which features Bobby Deol in the lead role as Baba Nirala, is set to be back with an exciting season. According to the streamer, the upcoming season focuses on the "megalomaniac baba, who continues to bend every rule to suit himself and has become a power-hungry adversary". The show, directed by Prakash Jha, had been in the news after Bajrang Dal activists allegedly vandalised the show's sets in Bhopal, and threw ink on Jha. The show also stars Aaditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Darshan Kumaar, Anupria Goenka, Adhyayan Suman and Tridha Choudhury. The filmmaker, known for socio-political titles like Gangaajal, Apaharan and Raajneeti, had said he never thought of altering the storyline after the incident.
