There are a couple of interesting releases on streaming platforms this week. The much awaited season 2 of Kota Factory will be released on Netflix on Friday. The TVF series which was a huge hit was acquired by Netflix for the second season.

Here is a look at series and movies you need to watch out for this week.

Crime Stories: India Detectives: Netflix

Release date: September 22

The true-crime docu series follows a team of the Bengaluru police and documents working of the force as they probe four major crimes in the city. Produced by Minnow Films, the character based docu-series offers a peek into the psyche of a suspect and a rare glimpse into the complex and challenging inner workings of four major crime investigations, the streamer said in a statement. Crime Stories: India Detectives is directed by N Amit and Jack Rampling and produced by Tarun Saldanha.

Star Wars - Visions: Disney plus Hotstar

Release date: September 22

The anime-inspired series combines fans' love for the Star Wars universe as well as anime. The series features an ensemble voice cast featuring Lucy Liu, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Alison Brie, Simu Liu, Masi Oka, Neil Patrick Harris, George Takei, David Harbour, and Temuera Morrison.

Goliath S4 : Amazon Prime Video

Release date: September 24

In the final season, after Patty takes a job at a prestigious white-shoe law firm in San Francisco, Billy returns to his Big Law roots. Together, they try to take down one of America’s most insidious Goliaths: the opioid industry.

Kota Factory S2: Netflix

Release date : September 24

The second season will follow the life of Vaibhav, a young student on his journey to Maheshwari - one of Kota's leading training institutes, and how he tries to balance his friendships, his relationship with his mentor and the looming pressure of getting into IIT. The show stars Jitendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsaas Channa, Revathi Pillai and Urvi Singh. Director Raghav Subbu said season two of “Kota Factory” will chronicle the journey of students in Kota and the “struggles they face on a daily basis, which will make it more engaging and realistic”.

Intrusion: Netflix

Release date: September 22

When a husband and wife move to a small town, a home invasion leaves the wife traumatized and suspicious that those around her might not be who they seem. Freida Pinto and Logan Marshall-Green star in Intrusion, directed by Adam Salky.

Sunny: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: September 23

The Malayalam movie focuses on a musician named Sunny (played by Jayasurya), who has lost everything that he earned in his life - his love, his money and his best friend.The film is produced by Ranjith Sankar and Jayasurya under the banner of Dreams N Beyond. Sankar has also written and directed the movie.

Birds of Paradise: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: September 24

The movie, written and directed by Sarah Adina Smith, based upon the 2019 novel Bright Burning Stars by A.K. Small. The plot revolves around two dancers at an elite ballet academy in Paris find their friendship tested when they compete for a contract to join the Opéra national de Paris. It stars Kristine Froseth, Diana Silvers, Jacqueline Bisset and Stav Strashko.

Besides these, Tamil film Raame Andalum Raavane Andalum releases on Amazon Prime Video on September 24, and Telugu film Aakashvani will stream on SonyLIV from September 24.
