The making video of SS Rajamouli's RRR was released on Thursday. The short video gives glimpses of the scale of the big-budget period drama—be it extravagant sets, Rajamouli guiding the actors or the action sequences. The video also shows Ram Charan and Jr NTR transforming into their characters.
The shoot of RRR has suffered multiple setbacks due to delays amid the pandemic. The film resumed the last leg of the shoot after the Telangana government lifted shutdown in the state recently. The Telugu film is a fictional tale based on the lives of two freedom fighters in the early 20th century - Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Kumaram Bheem (NT Rama Rao Jr).
Produced by DVV Entertainments, RRR also features Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles.
Earlier this year, the makers announced that the film will be released theatrically on October 13 in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Rajamouli hopes to outdo the success of his Baahubali films with this magnum opus. With the film industry reeling under the effect of subsequent shutdowns, RRR is expected to bring back audiences to theatres and set the business on track.
