Malayalam actress Remya Suresh took to her Facebook to share her experience about an alleged pornographic video, which is being wrongly attributed to her. In a video, shared on her Facebook account, the actress said that she has lodged a complaint with the cyber cell. She said that an acquaintance shared the content with her after the videos were found circulating on social media.
She said that the officials have collected data of the WhatsApp group which shared the content, the group admin and the person who shared it on the various social media platforms.
Remya said that features of the woman in the video closely resembled hers, and added that those who knew her well will be able to see the difference. “But, I am afraid others won’t be able to see that difference,” she said. “I know that the person in the video is not me. And my husband also believes so, which gives me courage,” she added. My husband is working abroad. He calls me up and keep consoling me,” she said.
She said the police officers have also been very supportive. An emotional Remya, also said she has never ‘compromised’ for acting opportunities and people should not misunderstand her. She said that ever since the video has been circulating, she has been receiving inappropriate messages on her Facebook page and urged people to stop it.
