Sonu Sood tests negative for COVID-19, fans say ‘welcome back’

He had tested positive for the virus on April 17

Actor Sonu Sood took to social media on Friday to inform fans he has tested negative for COVID-19. 

Sharing a picture of him wearing a mask, Sonu wrote: "Tested: COVID-19 Negative."

After Sonu shared his health update his fans started commenting on the post. Many wished him the best, and commented ‘welcome back’. 

On April 17, Sonu released a statement that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He wrote: "Hi everyone, this is to inform you that i have tested positive this morning for covid -19 as a part of precautions i have already quarantined my self & taking utmost care , but don't worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems remember i'm always there for you all. (sic)"

Sonu has been actively involved in philanthropic work amid the pandemic and lockdown, and during the second wave of COVID-19. A day before he tested positive, he had taken to Twitter to express his helplessness over being unable to arrange hospital beds and medicines for COVID-19 patients from all across India who have been approaching him for help.
