Fans of Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi have a reason to cheer. The actor took to Twitter to announce the release date of the trailer of his upcoming movie Laabam.
The trailer will be released on Saturday (August 22).
“Get ready to celebrate! The much-awaited #LaabamTrailer will release on Aug 22 at 5 PM,” the actor, fondly known as Makkal Selvan, wrote. He also shared a poster of the movie along with his tweet.

Directed by S. P. Jananathan, Laabam has Shruti Haasan playing the female lead. The movie also has Kalaiyarasan, Jagapathi Babu and Harish Uthaman in lead roles. This is the first time Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan teaming up for a movie.
Laabam has already generated much interest among the fans of the actor as his look in the movie—Sethupathi had spotted messy long hair and beard in a promotional photoshoot of the movie—had gone viral.
Earlier, it was revealed that the actor will be playing a social activist in the movie.
