Janhvi Kapoor shares ‘best memories’ from sets of ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’

Actress Janhvi Kapoor whose film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is streaming on Netflix, has shared an appreciation post for the film. Share behind-the-scenes photos and videos, she said: “The best memories. A journey I will always be eternally grateful for; for the people I met along the way, and for everything I felt and learnt.”

The videos also show her working out in preparation of the film’s title role, where she essays Gunjan Saxena, first woman combat pilot of the Indian Air Force. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi and Ayesha Raza Mishra in important roles.

The film premiered on Netflix on August 12, skipping theatrical release in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Janhvi made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Karan Johar's production Dhadak, the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat.  Janhvi will again be seen on two Dharma Productions films - Dostana 2 and Takht. She will also been in Roohiafza opposite Rajkummar Rao.

Speaking about the film in an earlier Instagram post, Janhvi said the film taught her to believe in herself. "Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl. This isn’t just a film for me- it’s a journey that’s taught me to believe in myself. A journey I can’t wait to share with you all. About a girl who set out to do something simple, follow her dreams,” she wrote.
