Sushant Singh’s ‘suicide not a solution’ dialogue goes viral after his demise

As the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide on Sunday shattered Bollywood and the actor’s fans, social media is flooded with tributes for the young actor. Sushant, 34, was found hanging in his Bandra home on Sunday morning.

His was last on the big screen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore, in which he acted alongside Shraddha Kapoor.

Sushant Singh’s demise has once again triggered discussions of the importance of mental health.

What is ironic is that Sushant’s character had spoken against suicide in Chhichhore. In the film which looks into anxiety and peer pressure faced by engineering students, he tells his son that suicide is not a solution. When his son tries to commit suicide in the film because he felt he had let down his parents, Sushant’s character tells him that people have too many plans to deal with success in life, but do not know how to deal with failure.

The clip of the scene is going viral on social media as the actor who had delivered a powerful message though his film, succumbed to the same.
