Hyderabad encounter: Nayanthara praises police action, calls it 'right act of humanity'

South Indian movie star Nayanthara has joined the band of celebrities hailing the Telangana police action of killing the four accused in the Hyderabad rape and murder case in an encounter after they allegedly tried to flee.

In an official statement released on her Twitter page, she wrote, "Justice is good when served hot."

Further, calling the Telangana Police, 'real heroes', she wrote: “What's been a cinematic phase so far has become the reality today and the real heroes—Telangana Police—have proved it with action.”

Dubbing the police action, 'right act of humanity', the actor wrote: "Every woman of this country can mark this date in the calendar as a day of true justice. Speaking about humanity, it is all about respecting, showing love and compassion towards all with equality."

“More than rejoicing over the justice served, it is a moment to enlighten and educate the children, especially boys at our homes imparting them the message that men become the hero, when they make this planet a safe place for women," she further wrote.

According to Cyderabad police officials, the four accused were taken to the spot to recreate the crime scene, following which some of the accused tried to flee after attacking the officials with stones.

Celebrities, including Allu Arjun, Junior NTR, Nani and Samantha Akkineni, had expressed their appreciation of the police action. Nagarjuna Akkineni wrote on Twitter: “This morning I wake up to the news and JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED!!
