Vinayakan is arguably one of the finest talents Mollywood has ever produced. The actor has been hailed as someone who can give even international actors a run for their money. A few examples like the recent Ee.Ma.Yau. and Kammatipaadam are enough to prove the caliber of the actor.
Vinayakan is one of those actors who are quite evasive. He is hardly seen in interviews or at promotional events of movies. Even when he shot to wider fame after the a state award came in his way for his role in Kammatipaadam, the actor was quite reticent in his public appearances.

However, the actor faced the wrath of RSS and BJP supporters on the internet for a comment that he made in one of his recent interviews. The actor, a self-professed left sympathiser, had said the drubbing that the left parties faced in the state is a matter of concern. He said he was shocked by the defeat of the left in the state. Further, he said he is happy that the results proved that the BJP won't be able to gain foothold in Kerala.
The remarks didn't go down well with a section of people who trolled the actor with casteist and racist comments on his Facebook page.
The actor also received a lot of support for his comments.
Recently, actor Biju Menon faced online wrath when he appeared along with BJP candidate Suresh Gopi for an election rally. The actor was branded a “sanghi” and was ridiculed.
