'Petta' continues to have a successful run at box office; crosses Rs 100 crore mark

Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta continues to dominate the box office in Tamil Nadu and everywhere else.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, an ardent Rajinikanth fan, Petta has managed to win over Thalaivar fans of every age and place as the film gave them their superstar of Baasha and Padaiyappa days. The film has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide box office within four days of its release, according to media reports.

Also featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha and Simran, Rajinikanth plays a hostel warden with a mysterious past takes on a politician and his son in Petta. True to its tagline—Get Rajinified—the film gave the audience a fine blend of superstar Rajinikanth and Rajinikanth, the soon-to-be-politician. The punch lines, one-liners and action scenes were real Rajinisms that hard core Rajini fans would always love to watch, ensuring that the flow to cinemas will continue for a while.
