2018 is a year for all gossip mongers to mark their calendars as a hoard of celebrities are getting married or at least are rumoured to and we hope so. From Hollywood to Bollywood here is a list of some of the much-anticipated weddings:
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
The couple is said to tie the knot on May 19 at St. George Chapel, Windsor Castle. The wedding is to cost half a million and the royal family is willing to pay for it. With less than 30 days left, this is surely the most awaited wedding of the year. Indians will have something more to look forward to as actress Priyanka Chopra is expected to attend the wedding. There were rumours she would be the maid of honour for friend Meghan, but recently Priyanka confirmed she was not.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja
Though the couple had never officially spoken about their relationship, they had been the talk of town recently with rumours of a wedding in May. Putting an end to all speculations, Sonam's father Anil Kapoor issued a statement on Tuesday that the couple would indeed tie the knot on May 8. Rumour also has it that Sonam has appointed Farah Khan as her sangeet choreographer. Though it was rumoured to be a destination wedding in Geneva, the Kapoor and Ahuja families have confirmed that the wedding will take place in Mumbai.
Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith
The couple made sure whether they are ready for a commitment by climbing the Kilimanjaro mountains as a challenge before they walk down the aisle, The This Is Us star said that she wanted an intimate and easy wedding to fiancé Taylor Goldsmith but they are yet to confirm the date.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
Almost 10 years have passed since the couple first met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. They have been on a constant on and off relationship since. The couple was recently spotted walking arm-in-arm during Noah Cyrus’s concert. They have finally settled down and reported that they are ready to get married. Miley is said to be secretive and wants a last minute wedding. Let’s hope that one day the world will wake up to the news that they have finally tied the knot.
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas
Game of Thrones star is still surprised about the fact that she is engaged to singer Joe Jonas. She has said that her career is better than her fiancé but is surely in love with him. They got engaged in October 2017 and we are all hoping to see a big GoT themed wedding this year. The couple just adopted two huskies together bringing their relationship closer. Is that isn’t the cutest thing then what is?
Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook
After having a horrible marriage with her ex-husband, The Big Bang Theory star is now ready to walk down the aisle a second time with her fiancé Karl Cook. Being the second-highest paid TV actress, she has come a long painful way out of her marriage ad not into the hands of Karl Cook. They have not yet set their date but at least we know that she is sure about Cook.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank
The second royal wedding of the year is due to take place on October between Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank, at the same venue as that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple had been dating for seven years and has finally decided to get married this year. Unlike Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie does not need the permission of the Queen to marry under the Succession to the Crown Act 2013 but they sure do have everyone’s approval.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis
The couple has been dating for almost forever and even has a child together. Jason had jokingly commented that their wedding won’t happen until weed is legalized in every state. Now that could take time but rumour has it that we might be hearing wedding bells in the air for them.
Matthew Lewis and Angela Jones
Keeping out of the spotlight, Matthew Lewis and Angela Jones are rumoured to be getting married sometime this year. Very unlike his Neville Longbottom character he got it good in romance as he started dating Angela Jones shortly after her divorce.

We are soon to hear wedding bells for actor Keegan-Michael Key and his girlfriend producer Elisa Pugliese. They have kept their relationship out of public eyes but were spotted together in the 2017 Emmys.
