Over the last few months, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has remained in the news for her much anticipated wedding to Anand Ahuja. From rumours of destination wedding, to speculating who will design her bridal clothes, there has been no dearth of stories.
According to a report by Mid-Day, the wedding celebrations will take place on May 7 and 8. It is said that a hotel near Sahar airport has been booked for one of the pre-wedding functions and the reception. Though there have been no official confirmation from the Kapoor family, recently there were also reports on Farah Khan choreographing the 'sangeet' performances.
"Those in the know say that Sonam has been sending near and dear ones 'save the date' messages. The invites are expected to be on their way soon," Mid-Day reported.
According to reports, rehearsals have kicked off at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow. Anil Kapoor and wife Sunita will be putting together a special act for the bride-to-be at the sangeet. Sonam's cousins will perform on her hit songs like the Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai , Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track, and Dheere Dheere, among others, besides other popular wedding songs.
On the work front, Sonam Kapoor will next be seen in Veere Di Wedding alongside Swara Bhaskar and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
A video of Sonam Kapoor dancing with designer Abu Jani at a wedding reception has also been doing the rounds of social media.
