Malayalam film Ee. Ma. Yau which got director Lijo Jose Pellissery the Kerala state award for best director this year, is all set to release on May 4. Producer Aashiq Abu took to Facebook to confirm the news recently.
Set in a coastal village in Kochi, Ee. Ma. Yau is a satirical take on life and death. The film features Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan and director-actor Dileesh Pothan in lead roles. The film's release was postponed twice earlier. Ee. Ma. Yau, also bagged two more state awards this year—best character actress award for Pauly Valsan and best sound design award for Renganaath Ravee.
Ee. Ma. Yau, written by P.F. Mathews, was shot in a record time of just 18 days. The music for Ee. Ma. Yau is composed by Prashanth Pillai and cinematography by Shyju Khalid. After a host of successful films, the latest being 'katta local' Angamaly Diaries, expectations will be high as Ee. Ma. Yau finally hits theatres.
