Axiscades, a leading end-to-end engineering and technology solutions provider, catering to sectors including aerospace and defence among others, and European missile systems major MBDA signed an agreement to set up a defence facility in Karnataka.

The pact has been inked through Axiscades Aerospace and Technologies, the wholly owned subsidiary Axiscades, on the sidelines of the ongoing Paris Air Show 2025 in France. The new facility will come up at the Aerospace Park near Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, according to a statement from the company.

"The facility will be equipped with test bench laboratories, infrastructure for missile launchers, specialised equipment, and trained technical personnel to support MBDA's advanced systems engineering requirements," the statement said.

This move aligns with MBDA’s “Make in India” vision and India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, reinforcing our shared commitment to innovation, localization, and long-term value creation in the defense sector, the company said.

Axiscades has already established the required infrastructure, tools, processes, resources and the industrial eco-system for MBDA, a company established through the merging of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo’s missile activities.

In May, Axiscades CEO and MD Alfonso Martinez said, "As we approach FY26, our priority is to capitalise on the opportunities in emerging sectors like manufacturing, MRO, chip-to-product and advanced defence technologies, including unmanned warfare, to bring about non-linear, product-led, scalable growth".

Meanwhile, the company has also signed a  a strategic MoU with France-based Aldoria, a major player in Space Surveillance and Situational Awareness (SSA), to strengthen India’s space security and orbital monitoring capabilities, during the Paris event.

"The two companies will jointly develop advanced SSA solutions—including software platforms, data integration frameworks, and C2 systems—tailored to India’s rapidly evolving space requirements," Axiscades said.
