About CGDA
CGDA is responsible for overseeing the Defence Accounts Department (DAD), which manages the financial aspects of the Indian Armed Forces and other defense related organisations. One of the oldest departments under the government of India, DOD's origins can be traced to the military pay masters under the East India Company. The first pay master was appointed in 1750.
