Ex-commodore of Pakistan Navy Sajid Mehmood Shehzad HI(M) claimed that while the Indian Navy has quantity, the Pakistan Navy has quality.
During an interview with Suno Digital, he compared the capabilities and strength of the navies of India and Pakistan and said the Indian Navy is five times bigger than the Pakistan Navy. However, one needs to see if it is quantity that matters or quality, he said. “I am very proud that Pakistan Navy has quality,” he claimed and added that Indian Navy has quantity.

What does India want to do with such a large Navy, he sought to know and claimed that India does not need such a huge Navy if their only intention is to defend its coasts.
India does not want to go to war with Pakistan, nor does it aspire for coastal defence, Shehzad said and claimed that India wants to establish itself as a hegemony.
He further said India is wasting a large amount of money on its defence forces.

He said India is maintaining such a large Army to tell the world that it is a major power and is continuing to exponentially increase its weaponry.
Further, Shehzad made an appeal to all countries not to escalate the arms race in the sea as there are already enough weapons of mass destruction on the land.
