Realty major SOBHA Ltd hands over 100 free houses for the poor

Foundation stones were laid for another 120 of the promised 1,000 houses

Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust, established by P.N.C. Menon and Sobha Menon to run the philanthropic projects (including the CSR programmes of SOBHA Ltd), handed over the keys of its first set of 100 free houses to the women-led underprivileged families in the Palakkad district of Kerala.

Foundation stones were laid for another 120 of the promised 1,000 houses.

The event was attended by K. Rajan, Minister for Revenue and Housing; K. Radhakrishnan, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled tribes and Backward Classes and Devaswoms and M.B. Rajesh, Minister of Excise and Local Self Governments, Sobha Menon, trustee, Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust, and Ravi Menon, chairman of Sobha Limited, among others.

MPs, MLAs and leaders across political parties, and eminent dignitaries too attended. The ceremony served as a platform to highlight Sobha CSR's commitment to holistic social development, with the launch of the Sobha CSR website, showcasing the organisation's numerous projects and initiatives.
