LPG commercial cylinder prices have been hiked by over Rs 250 effective April 1. The 19kg gas cylinder will cost Rs 2,253 in Delhi and Rs 2,205 in Mumbai, but the price of domestic cylinder remains unchanged.
In Kolkata, the commercial LPG rate stands at Rs 2,351, and in Chennai it now costs Rs 2,406.
The hike is in keeping with the steady rise in fuel and gas prices since the assembly election results were declared in five states last month.

Over the last two months, the price of LPG commercial cylinders have gone up by Rs346 per cylinder. On March 1, the rate was hiked by Rs 105, then reduced by Rs 9 on March 22, before the current Rs 250 jump.
On March 22, the domestic cylinder price was increased by Rs 50, the first hike of the subsidised 14.2kg cylinder price since October 6, 2021.
As on April 1, the prices of the domestic cylinder in major cities are Rs 949.5 in Delhi, Rs 949.5 in Mumbai, Rs 969.5 in Chennai and Rs 976 in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, aviation turbine fuel prices have also been hiked by Rs 2,258.54 per kilolitre (2 per cent) to Rs 1,12,924.83. ATF prices have been increased every half month since January 1, and have increased by almost 50 per cent since then.
