Una (HP), Nov 7 (PTI) The Himachal Express train has been rescheduled from Una following a fire incident on the Karmabhoomi Express on the Sirhind-Ambala route on Saturday, officials said.
Himachal Express (14054), travelling from Punjab's Kartoli to Delhi Junction via Amb Andaura and Sirhind, will now depart at 12:26 am on Sunday, they said.
According to railway officials, following a fire on the Karmabhoomi Express on the Sirhind-Ambala route on Friday afternoon, the Ambala Cantt, Kartoli Intercity Express had to be diverted to an alternate route.
A spokesman for Indian Railways said that consequently, the Intercity Express did not arrive at Kartoli station on time. As a result, the Himachal Express will now depart from Kartoli station at 12:26 AM (the intervening night between Saturday and Sunday) instead of its original scheduled time of 8:55 PM.
The train is expected to reach Daulatpur Chowk station at 12:36 am and Amb Andaura station at 12.49 am.
It is scheduled to reach Una station at 1.14 am. It is expected to reach its destination, Delhi Junction, at 6.45 AM on Sunday.
Railway authorities have advised all passengers to check the train's running status periodically via the official railway application.
