Gurugram, Nov 7 (PTI) The Gurugram police have taken preventive legal action against five people for allegedly hurling stones inside Vatika Expression Society in Sector 88B, officials said on Saturday.

According to the police, residents of Vatika Expression Society lodged a complaint stating that some people threw stones inside the society on the night of November 6.

Acting on the complaint, the police team initiated necessary preventive legal action against 5 individuals under Sections 126/170 of the BNSS.

The accused were identified as Manoj, Praveen, Sanjeev Kumar and Satish.

Police investigation revealed that the land adjacent to Vatika Expression Society belongs to 4S Builder, where construction work is planned, according to a senior police officer.

The builder did not have an access route to the land, which led to the demolition of a portion of the adjoining wall of the Vatika Society to create an access route by incorporating part of the wall into its property, he added.

"In connection with this dispute, the accused allegedly carried out the stone-hurling incident inside the society last night. We have taken necessary legal action in the matter and remain vigilant to maintain law and order in the area", the officer said.
