Gurugram, Nov 3 (PTI) A 25-year-old man was killed, and two others were seriously injured after the scooter they were travelling on crashed into a wall at the Bristol Chowk underpass here, police said on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Vansh Wadhwa, a resident of Punjab. His friends, Rohit and Jhankirat Shukla, who also sustained serious injuries, are undergoing treatment at a private hospital, police said.

According to police, the three men, who lived in U-Block in DLF Phase 3 and worked at a private company, were heading out late Monday night to get something to eat on a single scooter when the accident occurred.

As they reached the underpass, the speeding scooter went out of control and rammed into a wall. The impact threw all three onto the road, leaving them seriously injured, police said.

They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Wadhwa succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

"We have informed the family of the deceased and are investigating the matter," a senior police officer said.
