Una (HP), Oct 31 (PTI) Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Assembly and former chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday termed the performance of the Congress government in the state as dismal on all fronts.

Speaking to the media, he said the state government has failed to achieve anything in four years and as the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh draw near, political rhetoric has intensified.

"The Congress government has failed to achieve any notable milestones during its four-year tenure. With the election year underway, the government is attempting to divert public attention away from its own failures," he said.

Raising serious concerns over the state's law and order situation, he said criminal incidents in Himachal Pradesh remain a persistent cause for alarm, and the state's law and order situation has completely deteriorated.

Criminal incidents are being reported across the state; for instance, several shooting incidents have occurred, including one at a hotel in the Una district headquarters. Instead of improving law and order, the government and the administration are harassing the common people.

The LoP alleged that the government is deliberately shifting the public's focus away from real, pressing issues by frequently issuing new, arbitrary orders.
