pti-preview-theweek

Jaipur, May 22 (PTI) Weather remained largely dry across Rajasthan during the past 24 hours, with heatwave and warm night conditions recorded at isolated places, the Meteorological Department said on Friday.
Sri Ganganagar recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 45.1 degrees Celsius during 24 hour period ending Friday morning, while Sirohi registered the lowest minimum temperature at 20 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met office, most parts of the state are likely to witness mainly dry weather over the next week.
However, under the influence of a fresh western disturbance, northwestern and northern Rajasthan may witness thunderstorm activity, light rainfall, and gusty winds with speeds of 40-50 kmph during the afternoon hours of May 22 and 23.
The department said temperatures could dip by 1-2 degrees Celsius in some areas over the next 48 hours due to strong dust-laden winds blowing at speeds of 20-30 kmph.
From May 24 onwards, temperatures are expected to rise again by 2-3 degrees Celsius with heatwave to severe heatwave likely at isolated places in the state.
