Beijing, Nov 1 (PTI) The Indian Consulate in Shanghai is conducting a month-long special campaign to prioritise timely resolution of the diaspora’s consular issues in its jurisdiction.
“CGI, Shanghai is actively executing the month-long Special Campaign 6.0 implementation phase, which is integrated with the #SwachtaHiSeva 2026 campaign”, a post on X said on Sunday.
As part of this service outreach meant to cut red tape and prioritise timely resolution, Consul General Pratik Mathur led “a large-scale consular services #SevaShivir in Shaoxing county of Keqiao district of Zhejiang province”, the post said.
“Underlining our unswerving commitment to the community abroad, Consul General underlined the special status of Keqiao, also called 'Little India' on mainland China, which is home to a vibrant community of Indian citizens including students, traders and businessmen engaged in a wide range of activities”, it added.
Consul General complemented the Indian community on their active outreach, including social services contributions such as organising large-scale blood donation campaigns.
“Our community in Keqiao comes together from all parts of the country in the spirit of #EkBharatShresthaBharat, and CG wished everyone a happy #EktaDiwas as we celebrate the 151st birthday anniversary of Sardar Patel”, according to the post.
