Indian envoy discusses cooperation in health sector with Nepalese Minister

Kathmandu, May 12 (PTI) Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, on Tuesday discussed cooperation in the wellness sector between the two countries with Minister for Health, Nisha Mehta, in Kathmandu, an official said. 
    Srivastava held a meeting with Mehta at the Health Ministry, Singha Durbar, according to an assistant spokesperson at the Health Ministry, Samir Kumar Adhikari.
    “Matters related to the historical and deep relations that Nepal and India have been enjoying for centuries, as well as various dimensions of cooperation in the health sector, were discussed,” he said. 
    Mehta, who is also the Minister for Population and Water Supply, thanked the Indian government for its continuous support in the development of Nepal's health, drinking water and sanitation sectors.
    The duo also discussed matters relating to strengthening of national-level major health science academies, establishment of specialised treatment centre and support of the Indian government in development of overall health infrastructures in the days ahead, Adhikari said.
