New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) Speciality packaging company EPL on Wednesday reported 4.52 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 110.9 crore for September quarter FY27.
The company had logged a net profit of Rs 106.1 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from EPL Ltd.
Revenue from operations was at Rs 1,567.4 crore in September quarter FY27 as compared to Rs 1,205.9 crore a year ago.
The company delivered strong revenue growth of 30 per cent, driven by broad-based momentum across categories and regions. Excluding commodity pass-through pricing, underlying revenue growth stood at 20.3 per cent , reflecting strong acceleration in core business performance, it said in earnings presentation.
The PAT growth was “ impacted by higher depreciation (due to ahead-of-the-curve investments), higher ETR (due to lower Europe profit) and FX losses,” it said adding that the growth is expected to recover in coming quarters.
Total expenses were at Rs 1,425.6 crore, up 32.34 per cent in the second quarter of FY27. Total income, which includes other income, was at Rs 1,577.4 crore, up 29.52 per cent.
During April-September FY27, total consolidated income of EPL was at Rs 2,968.9 crore, higher by 27.2 per cent.
“EPL has delivered another standout quarter, achieving 30 per cent revenue growth. On an underlying basis, revenue growth was 20 per cent and margins were 20.4 per cent," MD & Global CEO Hemant Bakshi said.
Beauty & Cosmetics delivered exceptional growth of over 40 per cent, while Oral Care continued its strong momentum with 20 per cent growth.
“ In September, B&C category overtook Oral Care to become our largest category, a significant milestone towards building a fully diversified, high growth portfolio,” he said.
Despite continued cost pressures, the company successfully recovered the full impact of cost increases through pricing actions, enabling it to sustain underlying EBITDA margins above 20 per cent while continuing to invest in the growth priorities.
“Looking ahead, we remain confident in our momentum and confidently reaffirm our near-term guidance of high-teens revenue growth and 20 per underlying EBITDA margins,” it said.
Shares of EPL on Wednesday settled at Rs 223.95 apiece on BSE, down 0.49 per cent.
