New Delhi, Nov 3 (PTI) Hyderabad-based HRV Pharma on Tuesday announced the acquisition of a 100 per cent equity stake in Germany-based Phatebo GmbH from ZeroStack Corp.
HRV Pharma did not disclose the financial details of the deal, but said Phatebo posted revenues of about Rs 350 crore in 2025.
The acquisition marks virtual pharmaceutical company HRV’s entry beyond active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) into finished formulations, giving it its first finished formulations business alongside a licenced operating entity in Germany.
Following the buyout, Phatebo will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of HRV Pharma.
Phatebo will continue to function under its own name from Hilzingen, Germany, led by Managing Director Martin Lisker, retaining its existing team and customer agreements, according to a release.
Founded in 2015, Phatebo holds a German pharmaceutical wholesale authorisation and specialises in clinical trial supply.
"Clinical trials today run across many countries at once, and each one depends on the right medicine reaching the right patient at the right time... Sponsors around the world trust this team with studies where there is no room for error," said Hari Kiran Chereddi, Founder, MD and CEO of HRV Pharma.
He added that bringing Phatebo into the fold provides HRV with its first finished formulations business alongside the API portfolio it has built since 2015.
Martin Lisker, Managing Director of Phatebo GmbH, noted that the partnership aligns with an owner that values quality and speed, which is crucial for serving clinical trial sponsors.
Through this deal, HRV will operate across both layers of the value chain – APIs through its manufacturing partner network and finished medicines through Phatebo's licenced European operations, the release added.
