D4vd's ex-friend Neo calls Celeste Rivas 'victim' opening up new trouble for the singer in teen's death case
In a new development after months, Singer D4vd’s close associate Neo Langston, has distanced himself from the musician and is reportedly cooperating with the authorities on the case of the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Attorney Mark Geragos said that Neo’s recent actions could be a threat to the singer, who has not been arrested or convicted in the case so far.
Reports suggest that he is negotiating for immunity, which could provide him with legal protection in exchange for providing details pertinent to the case.
On Saturday, Neo posted on Instagram, writing “... at the end of the day this case isn't about me, it isn't about you, it's about getting justice for the victim and her family ..."
Sources told TMZ that the word victim is critical. The L.A. County Medical Examiner had trouble establishing the cause of the teen girl’s death, in large part because of the state Celeste's body was in when it was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla.
Neo was arrested last month for failing to appear before a grand jury in the murder case. He also had not offered much information.
On his private Instagram, he later claimed: "Thankfully I'm legally fine in every way, AND BOI DO I GOT ALL MY RECEIPTS FOR THINGS HAHAHAHA."
“I told so many people that I trust and I thought knew me as a person my side of things, all for that to be thrown out the fkin window as soon as I get arrested and they slap that di*kheads name next to mine." He wrote.
Authorities said that D4vd had taken a long drive in the middle of the night from LA to a remote area in Santa Barbara in the spring of 2025, months before Rivas’s body was found. Rumours suggested that another person accompanied him, possibly Neo.
After Rivas’ body was found, Neo deleted all his posts with D4vd.
Geragos emphasised the seriousness of Neo’s shift in loyalty, stating, “Neo is now focused on D4vd, and he is telling the story as he knows it, and this is D4vd’s worst nightmare."
Neo is reported to be a key witness in the case, and his statement could have major implications for himself, depending on his level of involvement, Geragos highlighted.
Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s body was found in two bags in the trunk of D4vd’s Tesla at a tow yard in Hollywood.
Authorities have not confirmed how long the body had been present in the car. Reports suggested that the girl was missing for weeks.
There have been no charges announced against D4vd, and no arrests have been made as the legal case is still developing.
