Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman bin Hadi, who was likely to contest from Dhaka-8 constituency as an independent candidate, was shot in the Bijoynagar area on Friday afternoon.
Sharif Osman bin Hadi was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition after being shot in the Box Culvert Road area of Bijoynagar, Bangladeshi media reports said. Unidentified miscreants on a motorbike opened fire at him around 2:25 pm, shortly after Jummah prayers. He was on life support as the bullet remains inside his head, news reports quoted doctors at the Dhaka Medical College as saying. The entry wound was near his left ear, and the Inquilab Mancha coordinator has lost a lot of blood.
