US conservative activist Candace Owens claimed that Tyler Robinson went straight to buy an ice cream after shooting MAGA firebrand Charlie Kirk on September 9.
Saying she had an "exclusive" information for her podcast viewers, Owens shared the image of Tyler Robinson at a Dairy Queen outlet in Orem, near the Utah Valley University where the shooting took place.
The image showing Tyler in a maroon t-shirt and cap was captured at 6.38 pm, according to Owens. However, there is no confirmation regarding this from the Orem Police Department.
Owens also a shared a reel on Instagram, which has been viewed by more than a million users.
Tyler reportedly came to Utah Valley campus around 8.30 am and Kirk was shot at 12.23 pm.
Tyler is to plead guilty in the case and is jailed at Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork, Utah, without bail. He will appear before the court next on September 29.
The accused is now inmate No. 460956 and subjected to 24x7 surveillance in order prevent him from killing himself as he was showing suicidal tendencies. He is also kept in a special housing unit away from other prisoners to avoid any potential altercation.
"Something bad could happen in a case this high-profile. Somebody could end up taking his life just because they know that will make them famous," the Daily Mail quoted Lenard Vare, an expert in jail conditions, as saying.
