UPDATE: Charlie Kirk's shooter was identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, from Utah. He was turned in by his father.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has published photos of a "person of interest" in the fatal shooting of Donald Trump ally and conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Posting the photo of the person clad in dark outfit, FBI posted, "We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University."
The person of interest was seen donning a cap, sunglasses, full-sleeve t-shirt and trousers. FBI urged citizens to alert the bureau of they are able to identify the person by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI. They can also submit tips online.

Beau Mason, the commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, has revealed that the man who shot Charlie Kirk was of "college-age" and was able to blend in with the students at the Utah Valley University.

Witnesses also confirmed that the suspect was wearing dark clothing.
From ammunition found in the bolt-action rifle recovered from a wooded area, the authorities found pro-transgender and anti-fascist ideology engraved on them. This is seen as a major clue regarding the motive of the assassin.
The sleuths are also analysing the imprints of palms, forearms and footwear collected from scene. The suspect climbed a rooftop to shoot Kirk and then jumped off to flee from the spot.
Chris Swecker, who was assistant FBI director in the 2000s, told Daily Mail that the shooter is almost certainly a trained sniper who was able to shoot Kirk with a single shot. He also left without leaving much evidence and had a clear escape route, indicating a well-planned assassination.
"Most attempted assassinations we've seen have been amateurish… This one was not. This was a professional operation," he said.
Swecker pointed out that the shot could not have been taken without a scope, adding that the shooter received training in military, law enforcement or spent a long time with a rifle.
"This case may be more like the Unabomber.It could take a long time and some luck to catch him," Swecker added.
