Just over a month after Kapil Sharma's new cafe in Canada's Britishi Columbia was attacked, several shots were fired at the comedian's eatery once again on Thursday.

At least six rounds were fired in quick succession at Kap's Cafe, owned by Kapil and his wife Ginni Chatrath, in Surrey, British Columbia, around 4.30 am. The window glasses were seen shattered when police arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The responsiblity for the attack was claimed by gangster Goldy Dhillon, who is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to a social media post.

"Jai Shree Ram. Sat Shree Akaal, Ram Ram to all brothers. The firing that happened today at Kapil Sharma's Kaps Cafe in Surrey has been claimed by Goldy Dhillon, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang," read the post.

Allegedly referring to Kapil Sharma, the post claimed, "We called him, but he did not answer the call, so we had to take action. If he still does not respond, then we will take the next action in Mumbai soon."

The previous attack on July 6 was attributed to the Laddi gang who are linked to banned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). At least nine shots were fired in last month's attack.

In a clip dated July 9, an unidentified person seated in a car could be seen opening fire at the cafe during night time. The attacker is seen fleeing the scene immediately.

The authorities were probing the involvement of BKI operative Harjit Singh alias Laddi in the July attack. He reportedly said Kapil Sharma’s previous remarks were the reason for the attack.

Laddi, based in Germany and hailing from Nawanshahr, Punjab, is wanted by India in several terror cases. He is reportedly behind several anti-India activities, including attacks on Hindu leaders. He is believed to have ties to BKI Pakistan chief Wadhawa Singh Babbar.
