The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that the initial registration period for the H-1B visas for fiscal 2025 closes on March 22.
H-1B, a non-immigrant visa, allows companies based in the USA to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations requiring theoretical or technical expertise.
According to the US federal agency, the initial registration period closes at 12 pm ET (9.30 pm IST)
Prospective petitioners and legal representatives are required to use the USCIS online account during this period and have to electronically registers for the selection process. The registration fee should be paid for each beneficiary, USCIS said.
Form I-129, a petition for non-immigrant worker, for H-1B petitions and Form I-907, a request fro premium processing service, are available on USCIS online accounts, said the agency.
The online filing of forms for H-1B cap petitions will be accepted from April 1 while non-cap H-1B petitions are yet to be announced.
