The UK's Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, issued an apology on social media over an edited Mother’s Day photo released to the media. The photo was the first picture released, with her along with the family, after the surgery.
“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C, Catherine wrote on X.
The photograph that was released to the media was said to be taken by Prince William at Windsor last week. It was released through Kensignton Palace to mark Mother's Day on Sunday.
Many leading news organisations have withdrawn the photograph after it did not meet their editorial standards.
