Pakistan's Mianwali air force base was attacked by terrorists on Friday night and multiple planes in the facility was destroyed in the attack, said reports.
The attackers, including suicide bombers, climbed the fenced walls using ladders to enter the high security air base, according to Reuters.
Three attackers were neutralised while three others were still inside the base, said Pakistani military sources quoted by Reuters. Taliban-linked group Tehreek-e-Jihad reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
Reuters reported that three grounded aircraft and a fuel tanker was damaged in the attack.
