France: Teacher stabbed to death in school

A teacher has been killed and two people were seriously injured in a knife attack at a school in France.

According to Interior Minister Gerald Darmanian, the attack happened at the Gambetta high school in the northern city of Arras.

Reportedly the attacker, in his 20s, has been arrested.

The attacker shouted 'Allahu Akbar', during the attack, reported AFP.

A French language teacher was killed in the knife affack, while a sports teacher got severely injured.

According to police, the situation is brought under control.

French President Emmanuel Macron is set to visit the school later on Friday.

Police suspect that the attacker was the former student of the school. His brother is also taken into custody, they added.
