US President Joe Biden's dog, Commander has been moved out of the White House after a series of biting incidents. Last week, the two-year-old German Shepherd bit a Secret Service agent who required medical treatment.

This was the canine's 11th biting incident at the White House and the Biden family home in Delaware. "The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work at the White House and those who protect them every day," the spokeswoman, Elizabeth Alexander told BBC, adding that what next steps for Commander are being evaluated.

It wasn't revealed where the dog was currently living. The Bidens have another German Shepherd, Major, who is older than Commander. Major too, has had numerous biting incidents, was given additional training in 2021 and was sent to live with the Biden family friends. The first family also have a cat named Willow.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had previously blamed the attacks on the stress of living at the White House complex. “It is unique and it is stressful for all of us. So you can imagine what it's like for a family pet or family pets, more broadly," she said, a BBC report reads. According to experts, German Shepherds require structure, consistency, and boundaries.
