Two gunmen are dead and six policemen-- members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team are in the hospital following a shooting at a bank in Saanich, B.C., on Tuesday. Two armed men  wearing body armour entered a bank on Shelbourne Street at approximately 11 am when officers were called. 

Homes nearby were evacuated after an explosive device was discovered at the scene. No bank employees, customers or other civilians were injured in the incident. "This remains an ongoing police incident with a heavy police presence in the area," Saanich police said on their website. 

The police, later lifted the shelter in place order, but, the block near the bank remained closed. The Bank of Montreal told CBC news it is deeply saddened by the incident
