Sharif Shehbaz, the newly appointed PM of Pakistan since the ouster of Imran Khan, has decided to add 12 National Assembly members of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and seven members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to his cabinet, an ANI report reads.

After Speaker Asad Qaiser decided to step down, a PPP member is likely to be Speaker. Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri is currently facing a no-confidence motion. Khan was ousted using a no-confidence motion, making him the first Pakistan PM to be removed through the democratic process. No Pakistan PM has completed a full term in office. The army, in the meantime, has denied any involvement in Khan's ouster.

JUI-F will get three ministries and a state minister portfolio while, Muttahida Qaumi Movement - Pakistan (MQM-P) will get the governorship of Sindh. PPP is touted to get Punjab and JUI-F will get Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and BNP-M will get the governorship of Balochistan, Geo News reported.

Sharif, during his visit to Karachi, met with MQM-P leaders, Ary news reported. The MQM-P was a key party in Imran Khan's alliance government. Khan was ousted shortly after MQM-P exited the alliance. Sharif vowed that promises made to MQM-P leaders will be fulfilled. He also thanked them for supporting the opposition parties in the no-trust motion against Khan.
