The UK Royal Mint launched its first-ever gold bar featuring a Hindu deity. As Indians in Britain gear up to buy gold on Dhanteras, the Royal Mint released a bar featuring the Hindu goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. The 20-gram bar contains 999.9 fine gold and was designed by Emma Noble. Noble designed the engraving in association with the Swaminarayan Temple at Cardiff to ensure accurate representation.
