US Vice President Kamala Harris' niece Meena Harris has got some reprimanding from the White House. The social media influencer, lawyer and children’s book author has often used her aunt’s fame to propel her won brand.

Now, Kamala Harris’ associates at the White House are getting concerned about the ethical aspects of her niece Meena using the Vice President's brand for personal gain. A legal team at the White House has cautioned Meena Harris to not “build her brand” using her aunt’s name.

Meena Harris, who has over 800,000 followers on Instagram, recently spoke up about the ongoing farmer's protests in India and activist Disha Ravi’s arrest.

“Some things can't be undone. But that being said: Behaviour needs to change,” a White House official told The New York Post about Meena Harris.

Harris has authored the book, ‘Kamala and Maya’s Big Idea.’ She is also the founder of a women’s charitable clothing brand called ‘Phenomenal’. Harris released her latest book, Ambitious Girl a night before VP Harris was sworn in. And despite White House officials briefing the 36-year-old on the rules she must follow, she flew to the inauguration on a private jet by a donor to the Biden campaign and shared images form the event.

Harris has sold sweatshirt with the wording ‘Vice President Aunty’ and t-shirts that read ‘I’m speaking,’ words said by Kamala Harris during a debate with then-Vice-President Mike Pence. The clothing merchandise has been discontinued.
