Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency, on Saturday arrested two men on suspicion of links to an international child pornography ring. The arrest was made following a tip from Italy through Interpol, AP reported.
The two men were arrested following a raid in the outskirts of Sialkot in Punjab province.
Mohammad Iqbal, a top Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), material retrieved from a computer allegedly belonging to one of the men showed he was posting child pornography videos on the dark web and had been in touch with an international gang based in Italy.
Accessing the dark web requires specific software as it isn't visible on search engines. Both of them will be taken before a judge within 24 hours of their arrest. The FIA will seek more time to conduct additional investigation before formal charges are filed against them.
