A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight carrying 90 passengers and eight crew members crashed in the Model Colony the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Friday.
The flight 8303 was an Airbus A-320 and was travelling from Lahore to Karachi. PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez confirmed the crash to Dawn and said that it would be premature to provide any information just yet on possible survivors.
The Spokesperson of the Pakistan Armed Forces tweeted saying that Pakistan Army Aviation helicopters had been flown for damage assessment and rescue efforts, sand said that search and rescue teams were being sent on site for rescue efforts.
