The Pakistan Army held a meeting of its influential corps commanders on Tuesday to discuss the situation arising from India revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the Corps Commanders Conference at Rawalpindi, Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said it fully supported the Pakistan government's “rejection of Indian actions regarding Kashmir”. "Pakistan never recognised the sham Indian efforts to legalise its occupation of Jammu and Kashmir through Article 370 or 35A decades ago; efforts which have now been revoked by India itself,” Bajwa tweeted.

He declared, “Pakistan Army firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle to the very end. We are prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfil our obligations in this regard.”
Meanwhile, a joint session of Pakistan's parliament summoned by President Dr Arif Alvi gathered in Islamabad to discuss the developments in Jammu and Kashmir. However, the joint session is yet to get under way after National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser adjourned it following protests by the opposition.
The opposition parties claim the Pakistan government's condemnation of the Indian action in Jammu and Kashmir did not specifically mention Article 370.
